Cindi Britt, owner of Salvatore Capelli Salon
A mentor once told me that you have to know the rules before you can break the rules. His point? That you are never finished perfecting your grasp on foundational technique.
At the Salon Institute, our faculty’s history of dedication to enforcing this principle helps us to consistently produce confident hairdressers with skills that make them a valuable salon asset – especially to one area salon owner.
Cindi Britt, owner of Salvatore Capelli Salon in Perrysburg, grew to appreciate our technical training during her daughter Kristine’s experience in our Cosmetology Manager Program.
“We toured all of the different schools in town,” Cindi said during her daughter’s 2013 graduation day. “It definitely is head and shoulders – no pun intended – above. It was outstanding.”
As a salon owner for nearly 15 years, Cindi understands the importance of developing a positive culture based on respect, and thanked the academy administration for working to instill positive attitudes and comraderie in our students. During her daughter’s schooling, Cindi said she saw Kristine mature and grow in her respect for her career and respect for her coworkers.
“Even in the rough times for Kristine, I knew they were valuable lessons she was learning,” Cindi said. “For Karen and the staff, thank you very much for teaching some very valuable lessons.”
More than seven of our graduates have become part of the Salvatore Capelli family at some point in their careers, and we are so blessed to call Cindy, Kristine and their staff our partners!
