1,500 clock hours

So you want to be more well-rounded than just specializing in one subject. You love the idea of cutting, coloring and styling hair, but you also want the chance to get your hands deep into make up, or skin care, or the art of manicuring and pedicuring. You need to check out our Cosmetology Program!16388304_1161128810651811_4294337229336597138_n

The Cosmetology course of study consists of 1,500 clock hours (approximately 44 weeks) of instruction covering all phases of cosmetology. The course is designed to prepare students to pass the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology “Cosmetology” licensing examination and to help the student obtain the knowledge and skills needed to begin a career in the field of cosmetology.

Like all of our curriculum, our Cosmetology Program is built on the strong, technically based foundation of TIGI cutting and coloring techniques, fashion-forward make up techniques, with the addition of Temptu Pro airbrush make up training, Milady nails and skin — and that’s just our foundation!

Salon Institute holds high academic standards so we continuously provide consistent, trending and salon-viable training to all of our students. Student stylists in the Cosmetology Program will participate in an editorial photo shoot with live models and a professional photographer, take a 4-week airbrush make up course, and ensure they are well-rounded in all aspects of the beauty industry so that they are not limited in their earning potential once they graduate and are working in a salon or spa environment.
